Thank you so much for doing this. I absolutely love the Hot Pots as I told everyone in my review video on youtube. You went above and beyond to help everyone figure out which colors to get with this wonderful tidbit of information!
Thanks girl and have a great weekend!
Aww Nat thanks, but I can’t take the credit. Coastalscent.com told me

Wow!! I love that you posted this!!! I was considering getting some hot pots, I just couldn’t decide which ones… now I realize that I just need the new 78 palette, since I already own the other ones!! Thnx!!!!
What do you mean by free samples of hot pots?
Hi Regan, I didn’t say free sample, I said sample size. As in dime size quantities.
Hi PB,
I just received my 88 matte and shimmer palette yesterday. Do you find the staying power is poor? Using urban decay primer doesn’t help at all for me. And gently tapping my brush to get rid of excess powder leaves my brush nearly naked - I lost all eyeshadow powder to gravity! And it seems like color payoff is only intense upon initial application. Once I start blending colors, colors are essentially lost. I didn’t get their hot pots which appears to be better than their palettes but I’m now quite skeptical abt their eyeshadows. But I do love their blush/contour palette, brush and gel liner.
Hey Li Ming, You need a color base then. My eyes absorb the color so much that I need extra power so I use either MAC pigment with mixing medium or krylon aqua colors. But some are lucky where they don’t need all that.
Thanks so much PB! I will try it out. I think the matte palette is better for color, in my case. But I love shimmer! Haha.
You are awesome!! Just what I was waiting for. I have all these pots in my cart but haven’t ordered them because I just wasn’t sure. I have a question though. I have a 78 Palette, but it’s different from the one that you compared. Where your rectangle pots are, mine are all white/grey/black. I love the bright pink blush. Do you have any idea which is comparable?
Thanks,
Kim
Ok, I don’t know how these are being matched up, but I just received 12 hot pots today and compared them to my 88 palette. S12 is NOT the same, the hot pot is a darker turquois family blue the palette is lighter ocean blue, S06 is not the same, the hotpot is again darker, S03 is lighter than the palette and M07 is the same in the hot pot and the pallete. I don’t know if I have a different batch or what, but this is misleading. If you have many palette’s like I do, shade is EVERYTHING. These shades are not matching up from what I’ve seen so far. Just wanted to let you all know to be careful if you thing they are exact matches. Of course 4 colors don’t mean they are all wrong, but so far I see a big difference here in the coloring. I’m happy with both my hot pots and the palettes however, the colors are rich and beautiful.
I ordered 13 or 14 pots last week and I can’t wait to see them. I’ll let you know how close they look to the sample on the website.
I love these! I really need to get some. I dont have any palletes but I plan on starting some soon! These seem like a great dupe for MAC. Thank you for the swatches and video!
I was set on trying out the 88 shimmer/matte pallets but now I am not sure… Maybe I will have to try them both. They seem to be a great product with a better price… worth the risk?
omg i need that haha
Oh no! I can’t see the pictures
Do you know what’s wrong?
Me too, my computer doesn’t see them. Could you re-upload?
do you mean the samples as the 88 palletes? or can you order them individualy?
Lovely. Thank you!!
Oh lovely! I need that!
erm, do u get samples that are free?
Could you please upload these images again. They are all broken so I’m unable to see them. Thanks.
I can’t see the pictures!
