Yay.. here are my nails after about a month of growing them out for the sake of a review. I can’t do long nails, this is my maximum length, any more and it will drive me batty. After this review I will have to trim my pointer finger down. If I don’t I will either a) scratch my eye out, or B) rip my contact lenses
But for those of you who are interested in long nails I definitely recommend anything from the Develop 10 line. Especially the Calcium one. These are available at Ulta for $6.99 give or take some change. I only filed my nails once this month to make them straight across and that was it( 2 weeks ago). The rest of the time I just used the Calcuim polish and a bit of Polish here and there. Today I decided to attempt something fun and funky. Let’s say I like about 40% of them, which translates to about 4 fingers. LOL do you do that too? Pick out your favorite finger nails that were polished and wished the rest looked like that? Anyone ? Anyone?

I feel like this Calcium Gel really made my nails stronger, because NONE of them have chipped or are brittle.
This was taken on 4-Nov-08

Today 30-Nov-08

Wow I love this Develop 10 line. Comparing the Calcium to the Original I like the calcium more because of the way it looks like gel on my nails.
I purchased the colored polishes from http://8ty8beauty.com/
$1.50 for Pink glow and Black Hologram.

Ok, now that my nails are dry I have to clean up some of the sides.
Mental note: Polish is for nails not skin

I always pick out my favorite nails! Haha. Yours look great though, and I will definitely have to look into the Calcium Gel. Every time my nails start to get some length, they end up breaking.

i usually always get acrylic nails done (decent length tho!), but i know they’re bad for my natural nails. But every time, i take off my acrylics, my nails are so brittle and chippable! (duh!) THIS drives me batty and i end up getting acrylics again cuz i can’t stand brittle and chipping nails!! haha! and the acrylics prevent me from breaking skin when i scratch myself too hard. but this will be a good thing to try since i’m trying to give up (or at least a lot less trips to the nail salon) getting acrylics as my new year’s resolution… let’s see how this calcium gel polish works for me. =P

lol I definitely do that too! Usually it’s the pointer finger and ring fingers that get favorited. I’m trying to grow mine out too (about the length you have) but I keep getting stuck at about 2 mm shorter due to breakage! I might try a calcium nail polish cuz I like longer nails for painting/designing nails.
By the way I really like that black hologram polish! Must needs buy it ;P

Adorable nails! And I know too that polish/polish remover is not for skin…I once painted over a cut right above my nail and it stung for quite some time. When I decided to remove it, it stung some more…ouch!

Your nails look great! I always have some nails that I like better…the truth is, I almost never get to have them all perfectly polished! Usually, my ring and pinky fingers look more evenly polished :)!

It seems like the polish never dries after two coats. I lose patience

How often did you apply this? Did you remove it before a new application? I always have one nail grow like crazy and the rest break. I will try this.

is this your real nail? looks like gel nail!! really good

Hey, ladies, soaking your nails in vinegar for 5 mins once a week helps strengthen them and keeps them from breaking. A couple times a week is even better. Works for me!

What do you do to keep the cuticle neat?
December 2nd, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Long nails bug me silly. I do that occasionally. What i do do though is compare the finger nails on both hands (ex.: ring finger compared to ring finger on other hand) and in the end total out the hand with the nicest fingernails. lol that’s weird right? I only do that occasionally though

gorgeous nails! The Sally Hansen nail growth one works well, too.

ooo, that’s weird, I’m happy that I grow my nails easily and the longest I kept my nails were about an inch long but it took me over a year >.>
But even then I could still do everything from typing on my laptop to opening can drink to taking off my contact lenses
but the colour is nice, I wanna try this look!

There are always UV GEL nails (aka Crystal nails–extreme hot in asia (japan + Hong kong) right now and in U.S there are a few) over acrylic nails. But the more “natural strength” for your own nails i agree for pursebuzz that the calcium polish would be best.

wow, after reading your entry on develop 10 calcium gel, I actually went to the website and purchase two calcium gel and the strong nails polish. I do too, have very weak nails and trying to find nail polish that would help me. I purchased the nail polish at Ultra.com, which i think is the main place to have it? no? because im trying to find it here around NYC but no luck. I don’t know if its only me, but after my package had came from Ultra.com the package was missing one of my calcium gel nail polish and the other develop 10- strong nail polish was an empty box and no nail polish….grr… do you know if theres other places to find this nail polish because i dont think i’ll purchase from ultra again since they never got back to me…
